Seventeen Reasons To Check Out Kai Restaurant at Best Western Plus Lex Cebu
Looking for a romantic dinner setting at the Queen City of the South? Maybe Kai Restaurant at Best Western Plus Lex Hotel in Escario is what you’re looking for.

As I was searching for blogs on Google about Kai, I only found hotel reviews for Lex that mentioned Kai’s breakfast buffet in a paragraph or two saying that they loved the offerings focused on American and Filipino cuisine, and also their concerns of its 32-seater capacity.

I thought it was really odd reading nothing about the restaurant’s other menu offerings given that Lex has been in the industry for four years. Lex has always been one of my favorite hotels because of its strategic location and overall atmosphere most especially during the grandest festival in the Philippines which is held every third week of January in Cebu City.

Hopefully next year I’ll get to stay here and tell you about my experience on King of Sinulog.
And now, since I’m tasked to do a hotel review, why not hit two birds with one stone and also write about Kai as well? Let’s get it on.
Author’s Dilemma
Believe it or not, it’s really hard for me to do this. Put yourself in my situation, will you?
I’ve been given full discretion by the management to order anything from the menu. Yes, anything.
And hopefully share my thoughts about each dish and the overall dining experience.

If you’re a regular reader for Out of Town Blog and have read at least one of my restaurant reviews, you’ll know that I am no food critic.
Although I have to confess that I love seafood which is perfect since Kai in Hawaiian means an ocean wave. However, seafood in my dictionary has a different meaning. Because when I ‘see food’, I eat it.
So instead of giving myself a severe headache, I’ve decided to just list everything that went into my stomach and probably pinpoint one or two dishes that may have stood out from the rest.

Hopefully this article can convince you to call in a dinner reservation by dialling +63 32 416 5511 or emailing the management via hotel.info@bestwesternlex.com.

Author’s Recommendation
If you’re not vegan, then by all means choose the Western Steak Plus sided with Aglio Olio and pair it with a glass of Shiraz as it is truly a complete satisfying meal in itself.

If you’re going to choose only one dessert, then the Mango Crepe Samurai is definitely worth the wait.
And by the way, I guess I don’t need to remind you that an order of Don’s Nachos is meant to be shared.
The best part of it all? You can choose to eat at the restaurant on the ground floor or at the roof deck, whichever meets your fancy.
