Cebu Rendezvous: Where To Hold Your Next Epic Meeting in Cebu
Where To Hold Your Next Epic Meeting in Cebu
Let’s say you’re working as a virtual assistant for an international travel agency currently residing and working remotely here in the Queen City of the South when the CEO notified you that they will be spending the company’s year-end evaluation here. You were then tasked to help coordinate with the logistics and also assist with the tour itinerary of the various attractions all around the island. But before all the fun and the leisure activities, your top priority would be to find a good venue for the executive board meeting within the metro. Thankfully you stumbled upon this article which will hopefully be the answer you’re looking for.

So, where’s the best place to hold an epic meeting? I never thought you’d ask. Well, after careful examination, I’d personally recommend you to call Cebu City Marriott Hotel and book one of their function rooms.

Here are three themed meetings I personally experienced over at Cebu Marriott:
MANGO – THEMED BREAK
We never knew up until we entered the solid wooden doors of one of Cebu Marriott’s function rooms that we were in for a sweet treat. As you may know, aside from lechon, Cebu is known for its mangoes. What we saw was a delicious spread of mango creations: mango macaroons, mango sago, mango tarts, prawn with spicy green mango, spicy chicken with mango and rice cake with mango. It’s as if we were in mango heaven!

The team at Cebu Marriott also organized a fun social media contest for us wherein we’re tasked to take selfies with the staff inside the hotel and then post it online with the appropriate hashtags. Imagine the celebrity feeling of the cooks, waitresses and security personnel that day. Not only that, the winner of the contest got a dinner buffet voucher for two over at Garden Café.
FILIPINO MERIENDA
It was the promotion of the Ayala Lifestyle Fair where popular consumer brands gather at the Activity Center to showcase their products and exciting promos and we were in charge of promoting the event online. The concept involved random mall goers playing a game like that of Trip to Jerusalem: visit all booths and get amazing freebies at the last stop.

Aside from having a great event program, what really put a smile on my face was the Filipino Merienda spread which consisted of favorites such as biko, maja, bibingka, puto cheese, pinaypay na saging, fresh lumpia and kinilaw on a shot glass. Not only that, there was a do-it-yourself halo-halo station. Amazing!
SMOOTHIE CHALLENGE
You are to organize an event that’s relevant to your clientele. In our case, the team at Cebu Marriott knew that we were a group mostly composed of food bloggers.

How can you conceptualize something exciting, fun and would involve the use of social media? Simple. Divide the group into teams, organize a Smoothie Challenge and pit them against each other.

The result? A successful event broadcasted live on Facebook. Let me let you in on a little secret. Our group won.
So how’s the search going? Have I convinced you yet to choose Cebu Marriott? If not, then maybe we could play out the possible scenarios on how the creative team at Cebu Marriott is going to organize your executive board meeting.

Since you’re an international travel agency, my best guess would be for them to choose the theme of popular landmarks all over the world and incorporate it into the design of the venue. There could be a simulation of the popular reality tv show The Amazing Race among the event participants to add some fun and excitement to the otherwise bored crowd during the break. You could also expect a variety of international dishes to be served with signature drinks from famous distilleries around the globe to match.

This is just my hypothetical prediction on how your annual year-end evaluation would go down based on the three themed meetings I’ve gone through. You’ll never know if I’m right or utterly mistaken until you make the decision to call the team at Cebu Marriott right now. Tell us your experience below if ever it pushes through.
